     Joseph Koehler and Miss Stella Engelhardt were united in marriage at 9 o'clock on Tuesday morning, May 22, 1917, at St. Henry's Catholic church by Rev. Father Schwin. The groom is a son of Mrs. Sophia Koehler and of the late John Koehler and is employed by the Watertown Grovery Co. The bride is daughter of Mrs. Rose Engelhardt and of the late Jacob Engelhardt. Fred Reusch was best man, Emil Wit of Manitowoc groomsman, Miss Louise Koehler, sister of the groom, maid of honor, and Mrs. Mary Engelhardt, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. A reception and wedding feast was given at the home of the bride's mother. Rev. Father Phillip Schweitzer, Kansasville, a former pastor of St. Henry's Church, and the Rev. Father M. B. Norton, Ripon, were guests of honor. Other out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. John E. Koehler, Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Koehler and children Florence and John Koehler of Manitowoc, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Engelhardt and son Jerome, Hubbleton.
     The groom and his bride left Tuesday afternoon for the east. They will be at home at 905 Ninth street after June 15.2,1

     Joseph F. Koehler's Funeral on Saturday
     Lifelong City Resident Dies At His Home
     Joseph F. Koehler, 85, a lifelong resident of Watertown, died yesterday at his home, 805 Wisconsin Street. His death followed a long period of ill health which had recently hospitalized him after which he returned to his home.
     He was born here May 19, 1879, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Koehler. He married Stella Engelhart on May 22, 1917.
     Among those surviving Mr. Koehler are his wife, three sons, Joseph, Beloit; Paul, Watertown, and William, Silver Springs, Md. There are four sisters, Misses Julia, Rose, and Helen of Milwaukee, and Miss Sophie Koehler, Watertown.
     There are ten grandchildren.
     Son Killed in War
     One son, Robert Koehler, was killed in action in World War II. His name is now part of the V.F.W. Chapter - the Beaudoin-Koehler-Draeger Post 3709.
     One brother and a sister also preceded Mr. Koehler in death.
     Mr. Koehler was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin Insurance Society and te Watertown Pigeon Club which has set up a trophy in memory of the son killed in the war and which is awarded annually at the Watertown Pigeon Show.
     Retired 10 Years Ago
     Mr. Koehler had worked at the plant of the Watertown Table Slide Co. until his retirement some ten years ago. He was a man who was well liked and who was highly regarded among a wide circle of acquaintances.
     The funeral will take place Saturday from the Schmutzler Funeral Home at 90:30 a.m. followed by a requiem mass at St. Henry's Church. The Very Rev. A. J. Herrmann will officiate and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
     Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. on Friday and prior to the service Saturday. There will be a parish and Holy Name Society rosary vigil Friday night at 8 o'clock.3

Joseph Koehler died on 4 May 1965 at 805 Wisconsin Street, Watertown, Wisconsin, at age 85.4

     Cpl. R. Koehler Reported Dead in New Guinea; War Department Message Follows Last Month's 'Missing' Report
     Cpl. Robert J. Koehler, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Koehler, 805 Wisconsin street, who was reported "missing in action" in New Guinea last month last month, has been officially reported as killed in action, according to a war department message which reached his parents here last evening.
     The telegram gave the date of his death as Nov. 20. The action was one of the battles in New Guinea which has been the scene of heavy fighting. Cpl. Koehler was one of four sons of Mr. and Mrs. Koehler. A brother Joseph, Jr., is working in Beloit, another brother, Paul is in Inglewood Calif., where he is attending a bomber school, and the third brother, William, is working in a defense plant in Milwaukee.
     Cpl. Koehler was a graduate of St. Henry's Catholic parochial school.2

     On Friday morning at 9 o'clock there will be a requiem mass in St. Henry's Catholic church for Cpl. Robert Koehler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Koehler, 805 Wisconsin street, the first young man from the parish to give his life for his country in the present war. Cpl. Koehler was killed in action in New Guineau Nov. 20, according to a war department message received by his parents last week.
     On Thursday evening at 8 o'clock a wake will be held in the church to honor his memory. To this all friends of the family and members of the parish are invited.
     Members of Branch 120, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, of which Cpl. Koehler was a member, will attend, as well members of the ushers' society and men and women of the parish. Anyone else who wishes to join the recitation of the rosary that evening, the night before the requiem, is invited to do so.
     Friends of the family and others interested are also invited to attend the requiem mass Friday morning.3 Funeral services were held on 22 January 1943 at St. Henry's Catholic church, Watertown. He was buried at an unknown place on 9 July 1948 at Watertown.4

     Funeral services will be conducted here on Friday at 9:30 a. m. in St. Henry's Catholic church for Cpl. Robert J. Kohler, 23, whose body is due to reach Watertown at 6:55 o'clock this evening. The casket will be taken to the Boyle funeral home and a wake will be held there starting at 2 p. m. Thursday.
     Cpl. Kohler was killed by a Japanese sniper on Nov. 20, 1942 in New Guinea.
     Born in Watertown on Aug. 29, 1919, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Koehler of 805 Wisconsin [the remainder of the article is missing].4
