Elizabeth Luber died on 18 January 1882 at Juneau, Dodge County, Wisconsin; Died in childbirth. Her death was incorrectly listed as 17 Jan. by the Juneau Telephoneand as 19 Jan by Elizabeth Herzfeld.9,10,8,1

The following was printed in the Juneau Telephone on 20 Jan 1882:
On Wednesday last, subdued tones borne on quivering lips, announced the sad tidings that Mrs. Mohr, the esteemed and dearly beloved wife of Mr. Martin Mohr, had passed away--Had bade farewell to earth and scenes around which fond hopes and bright anticipations had pictured her the material joys of a happy home circle and a perfect home. The bride of but a few brief month ago, the affectionate wife and true friend, esteemed and beloved by all who knew her, her unexpected demise fell with crushing weight upon many a sympathetic heart. Mrs. Mohr died at 11:30, Wednesday forenoon, on Thursday her corpse was taken to Watertown--the home of her parents and the scene of her early life where her form was consigned to earth. The bereaved husband is well-nigh broken hearted at his deep affliction, and the sincere sympathies of old and young alike go out in generous warmth to bring back a living glow to the chilled heart of him who mourns almost as one without earthly hope. The deceased was sister of Mrs. H. Kellermann, of this village.11

The following was printed in the Watertown Gazette on Saturday, 21 Jan 1882:
Mrs. Martin Mohr, formerly Miss Elizabeth Luber, died at her home in Juneau last Wednesday morning, of childbirth. The remains of the deceased were brought here yesterday for burial, and the funeral will take place from St. Henri's church tomorrow morning. Mrs. Mohr was raised in this city and was a general favorite among our people. This sad news will be a source of much grief to the citizens of Watertown.9

Funeral services were held on 22 January 1882 at St. Henry's church, Watertown.9

Died--We have this week lost a loyal citizen to death. JOHN LUBER one of our oldest and esteemed residents for about 34 years, when he came here to a small farm from Milwaukee, when our State was organized, and also served on term as city alderman in the 50's. In the early years he was a grocer and an accountant. He expired on Wednesday evening of a sickness that he contracted a week ago, he was only 69 years old. The circumstances of the last summer, he had worked on a small farm, but then last month his beloved daughter died, from which he did not fully recover, his whole life was used to serve the many of us that knew him, and the loss of his type of man saddens all.
John Luber was born in Landgericht, Tirschenreuth, Kingdom of Bavaria where he lived until he immigrated to America, and took the occupation of a fabric seller. He is survived by his widow, and two married daughters. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and many friends and acquaintances throughout the community.36

          Obituary
We are called upon this week to chronicle the death of another old settler and estimable citizen, John Luber, who breathed his last at his home in the Third ward, last Wednesday night, February 15, 1882, at the age of 68 years, after a brief illness. Mr. Luber was seriously affected by the death, about a month since, of his second oldest daughter, Mrs. M. Mohr, of Juneau, and his grief was supplemented by an attack of congestion of the lungs, from which he never rallied. Deceased was a native of Bavaria, and came to this vicinity from Milwaukee in 1846. He was one of our business men for a number of years, but a short time since retired and removed to his farm where he died. He was a man of sterling integrity, honest and outspoken. Mr. Luber had filled several positions of trust, among them alderman of the First ward, to which office he was elected at our first charter election. He leaves a wife and two daughters to mourn a kind husband and a loving father. His funeral was held at St. Henri's Church Saturday morning.22

Death of Mrs. Henry Kellerman
The many friends of Mrs. Henry Kellerman will grieve to learn the sad news of her death, which occurred at her home at Marinette, Monday, January 29, 1894, at the age of 48 years. She was a victim of that fell destroyer, consumption, suffering from its fatal stages for over a year. Deceased was the eldest child of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Luber. She was born east of the city in the town of Watertown, and resided here with her husband, who survives her, until their removal to Juneau, from which place they removed to Marinette some years ago. She leaves a family of nine children, five sons and four daughters, one of whom, the eldest, is married. In the deep affliction the family, bereft of a loving wide and a kind, indulgent mother, have been called upon to sustain, calls for the keen sympathy of all.--Watertown Republican
