William K. McGinty, 74, 1010 Elsie Street, Fort Atkinson, died Sunday evening at his home following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Nitardy-Doersching Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Alfred P. Endres officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends and relatives may call to pay their respects at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. The parish and Knights of Columbus rosary will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m.
McGinty was born April 19, 1905 in Ishpeming, Mich., son of Mr. and Mrs. William McGinty. He lived in Fort Atkinson the past 32 years. On Aug. 31, 1940, he married the former Helen Molzahn in Watertown. She preceded him in death in 1966. He was a retired electrical engineer for Thomas Industries in Fort Atkinson. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Mother of Perpetual Help Council No. 3396 of the Knights of Columbus and a charter member of the Ave Maria Assembly No. 1650 Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are two sons, Patrick of Fort Atkinson and Michael of Carson City, Nev., one daughter, Mrs. Pete (Eileen) Reeder of Vorhees, N.J., four grandchildren and one brother, Edward of Milwaukee.1
Funeral services were held on 25 April 1979 at Watertown.1
