A lifelong Bradford resident, Mr. Dana was an independent oil producer, owned a clothing store and also was in the frozen food business.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Salamanca, N.Y., the Knights of Columbus in Bradford, the Pennhills Club, the Bradford Gun Club, and St. Bernard Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Ann Bowman of Santa Rosa, Calif; two sons, Joseph B. Dana of Vacaville, Calif., and David L. Dana of Virginia Beach, Va; a stepson, Richard Stover of Bradford; a brother, Earl Dana of Memphis, Tenn; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew.
There will be no visitation. A scripture service will be said at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Koch-Chatley Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Joseph Reszkowski, pastor of St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in the Dana Mausoleum at St. Bernard Cemetery.

Nicolas Denig was also known as Jean Nicolas.5 He Cordonnier (shoemaker).6
Nicolas Denig married Catherine Schoeser, daughter of Jean Schoeser and Catherine Mourer, on 9 October 1807 at Wittring, Sarreguemines, Moselle, Lorraine. The marriage was witnessed by Caspar Denig and Augustin Melchior Denig Other witnesses were Jean Mure and Jean Bleichner.7,8,3,9 He Journeyman circa 1821.10 He witnessed the death of Anne Schmidt on 26 November 1823 at 11:00 p.m., Wittring, Sarreguemines, Moselle, France.1,11,3 He witnessed the death of Gaspard Denig on 17 October 1825 at 11 a.m., Wittring; Died 11 a.m. according to civil record, 11:30 a.m. according to church record.
