     Robert L. Dana Sr., 65, 1113 Guetner Ave., died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1993, at the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center following a brief illness.
     Born in Erie Sept. 5, 1928, he was a son of the late Warner J. and Frances Schrieber Dana.
     Mr. Dana was an inspector with Eire Bolt Corp. for 27 years prior to retiremen. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and gardening.
     He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Dana, in 1982; two sisters, Katherine Arneman and Lucille Schelley; and a brother, Frank Dana.
     Survivors include his wife, Dolores Pursall Dana; a son, Robert L. Dana Jr. of Girard; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Rene) Malena of McKean and mrs. James (Michelle) Carnes of Edinboro; two sisters, Eleanor Todd and Ruth Stitzinger, both of Erie; four brothers, Richard Dana of North Kingsvile, Ohio, John Dana of Round Lake, Ill., Gordon Dana of Erie, and George Dana of Rustburg, Va; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
     Friends may call at the Burton West lake Funeral Home, 3816 West Lake Road, today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend a service there Thursday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. David Wells officiating.
     Memorials may be made to the West Lake Fire Department, 3762 West Lake Road, Erie, PA 16505. Funeral services were held on 9 December 1993 at Burton West lake Funeral Home, Rev. David Wells officiated, Erie.
