Miss Anna E. Engelhart Is Dead at 81-Results from Fall Are Fatal; Rites Wednesday
     Miss Anna E. Engelhart, 81, of 404 North Sixth Street, member of an old Watertown area family, died at St. Mary's Hospital at 4:30 a.m. today. Death was due to complications which followed a fall suffered at her home on Nov. 9. Death came peacefully in her sleep.
     Miss Engelhart was born in the town of Milford and had resided her entire life in the Watertown community, most of it in the city. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Engelhart and was born March 6, 1880.
     Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Scheiber, Miss Mary Engelhart, Mrs. Veronica Engelhart, all of Watertown. There is also a nephew, jacob Engelhart. Two brothers preceded her in death.
     Funeral At St. Bernard's
     Miss Engelhart was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church. She al;so belonged to the Rosary and Altar Society and Branch No. 120, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin. She was a devout church member and carried Christian precepts and principles into her daily life and in her association with others.
     The funeral will take place Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Schmutzler Funeral Home. At 10:30 a.m. there will be a requiem mass at St. Bernard's Church, due to the fact that remodeling operations are underway at St. Henry's Cemetery.⁴

Mrs. Catherine F. Hertel
     Mrs. Catherine F. Hertel, 92, formerly of 308 O'Connell Street, died late Monday evening at Marquardt Memorial Manor.
     Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Schmutzler Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church with Father Harry Lauters officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
     Friends and relatives may call to pay their respects at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until the time of the service Thursday. A Christian Mother and parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday.
     The former Catherine F. Engelhart was born Feb. 24, 1888 in the town of Milford, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Engelhart. She married Mathias J. Hertel Nov. 27, 1912 at St. Henry's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death July 11, 1954.
     Mrs. Hertel lived all her life in the Watertown area. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church, the Christian Mother Society of the church, the Funster Club and the Golden Agers.
     Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Catherine) Baurichter and Mrs. Leo (Elizabeth) Reimer, two sons, Mathias and William, all of Watertown, 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
     Mrs. Hertel was the last member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, and five grandchildren.²

     She was born in September.¹
