According to the Civil Record he was 32 at the time of sister Anne's marriage on 1 Feb 1817, which would put his birth at 1784 or 1785, although the same record has him as her 'younger' brother, and she was 24 at the time. The Dintinger information states his birthdate as 1785.3,1,4,2 He was the son of Jean Nicholas Gran and Anne Marie Jung.1,2
